EXCELLENT 21 reviews Vanita Konzelmann18. April, 2023. Santhra has been a fantastic tutor for both of my children throughout high school. She's extremely knowledgeable in math topics, supportive and forms good relationships with the kids (over zoom!). She's very flexible and happy to talk to parents too as needed about the kids. She clearly is passionate about teaching. We are so lucky to have found her! Shreyas Nidumbur6. April, 2023. Mrs. T is my current math tutor for Geometry. She has helped me a lot with grasping the concepts I'm learning in class and preparing for important tests. One thing I really like about her tutoring is that she has a lot of resources that challenge the way I think and improve my problem-solving and proof-writing abilities. One thing that makes her stand out is that she is a teacher herself, and so she is able to understand the way teachers format their tests and important strategies to consider when studying and test-taking. Based on my experiences with her, I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor and she has definitely helped me perform well in the class. Anjali Smith18. March, 2023. Mrs. Thambidurai is such a wonderful teacher and person. She is knowledgeable, patient, and will adapt her teaching materials to fit your learning style and needs. I'm incredibly grateful to her for helping me develop confidence in my mathematical ability <3 Abhinav Raghunathan20. January, 2023. Santhra Thambidurai is the reason I pursued engineering and data science for my undergraduate and graduate education. She teaches in a way that combines her deep knowledge of mathematics and her genuine drive to help her students succeed. She makes even the most difficult concepts seem natural. One of my favorite teachers hands down! Chandni Sharma19. January, 2023. Mrs. T is an amazing tutor who is able to adapt to a student's optional learning style. I found that over the years, I was able to discover my unique learning style which has not only helped me in our classes, but also in my day to day learning at school and other activities. She is patient and encouraging; someone who advocates for me even when I can't always do it myself. Esther Arun17. January, 2023. I'm not usually very vocal on needing help in my classes, but I really did need a lot of help for my Statistics class and within a day, my mom found me a better tutor than I could ever hope to ask for. Santhra Thambidurai is a homely, personable tutor, extremely knowledgeable about her field, timely, and able to give all-encompassing explanations that address my questions before I ask them. I'm a bit of a slow learner, needing every little thing explained to me, but even before I would have made this apparent to her, she was already taking the time to break every little thing down for me, checking in to make sure I was understanding each of those little things. She conformed herself to my textbook and syllabus, but she didn't stick rigidly to it at all. She kept in mind what we were learning and then deviated, taught things in her own, more comfortable and expressive way. Later, she would assign her own questions or shift through my textbook to find suitable problems for me to solidify everything she taught me. We'd go over the homework together and any problems I had, she smoothed over with ease. The problem I would usually have with my school teachers and college professors, where they assume I understand and don't bother to elaborate on the small points and I just find myself lost, waiting for it all to click somehow, I never had a chance to have with her. I'm ever so grateful that my mom found her, she's welcoming to questions, encouraged them, and never made me feel hesitant to ask. If I ever didn't understand something the first time, she's not the type of person that would explain something the same way- she'd stop, figure out another way to express the same topic, and we would do some problems to clarify everything. If all my teachers could be like her, I would be set for life. She's also extremely accessible for concerns outside of class and her timings are flexible, another thing I appreciated immensely. If you're considering her, don't wait- Santhra Thambidurai is the best tutor you could ever ask for! Raunaq Saini13. January, 2023. She is an amazing tutor who is always willing to help and is amazingly flexible. After only a few classes for Pre-Calculus Honors my grades spiked up. She is really flexible and has a lot of knowledge that she is willing to share to help all her students. She explains complex problems in detail and gave me harder problems which made tests very easy. I would recommend her to any student who either needs help and explanations or anyone who is looking for tough and challenging problems. Niharika Vellodi12. January, 2023. I am a person who doesn't usually like asking for help, and because of this I used to struggle in math. I used to be embarrassed that I didn't understand the topic I was learning, so I didn't want to ask for help. When Mrs. T started tutoring me when I was in 7th grade, I didn't feel ashamed of asking for help anymore. Whenever I had questions, she answered them patiently and I understood the topic more. Even during the pandemic when I was in 8th grade and learning Algebra was completely different than in person, Mrs. T taught it to me in a way where I was able to understand it better. I am currently in the 10th grade, and since I first met her she has taught me Advanced Algebra II Honors and currently Geometry, and it has been great. Mrs. T is a wonderful teacher and any student would be lucky enough to have her as one. Elle Lauren8. January, 2023. Santhra Thambidurai began tutoring me when I was in middle school, and has helped me improve my math skills throughout my junior year of high school. When I returned to in-person school after a year of online instruction, I was having difficulty understanding concepts in class without a solid basis of understanding (due to that year of fragmented online instruction). Santhra helped me build that basis of understanding and continued to help me throughout the year as I increased my grade to an A after receiving a D on my first exam. Additionally, Santhra has helped me increase my math score on the May 2022 SAT by a whole 100 points in 7 classes. She is not only a knowledgeable teacher, but also a kind, understanding, and incredibly patient person. She always takes the time to explain concepts however many times I need her to. Her lesson plans are uniquely tailored to fit my needs, and I always end my sessions with her feeling more confident than when I first logged onto Zoom. I thank her for helping me gain this confidence in my skills as a math student. Sabita Nayak5. January, 2023. Mrs. T is one of the best Math teachers. She taught Algebra 2 honors, Geometry honors and Precalculus honors to both my daughters Roshni & Chandni. She simplified topics that used to be difficult for them to understand. She provided tips and tricks to solve problems quickly and efficiently. She prepares her students for the road ahead!Load more
